THIS NEW BEACH HOUSE 2002

Most of us have heard of the PBS show, "This Old House" and many have watched the program. It is where they take an old house and step-by-step, take the viewing audience through the stages of reconstruction. We at Beach Builders have decided to do "This New Beach House 2002".

Whether you are a consumer, looking for information; potential first time buyer; or present homeowner; you will witness, over the following months, a beach house as it goes through the step-by-step stages of construction.

We will pull no punches.  You will see the house and have an explanation as to what HAS, as well as, what HAS NOT taken place.

We would all like to believe that once the plans are approved, a few weeks will pass and the moving company will be backing their van to the front door to one's "new house". But, this is not reality. Weather, back-logged products, factories going on strike are just some of the things that can contribute to delays.

One of the best pieces of advice I ever heard came from a first-time, home buyer...

"The homeowner's responsibility is to decide on a plan and try not to make changes unless you absolutely can't live without it.  Changes mean cost overrides, delays and conflicts.
So, decide what you want, make sure it is what you need or desire and can afford, then allow the builder to build it."

(it becomes apparent that quality and design are fundamental part of making a good investment with a beach home).

We will be updating this site frequently, so bookmark this page and come back often.
